Sweet, Salty & Savory Donuts:

Bacon Butterscotch Bombers

1 Package Godshall’s Maple Turkey Bacon
2.5 Cups Cake Flour Sifted
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Sea Salt
3/4 Cup Buttermilk
2 Large Eggs Beaten
2 Tbs Melted Butter

Fry bacon & chop into small bits.
Mix ingredients together.
Use mixer to blend thoroughly.
Pour mixture evenly into donut baking pan.

Bake @ 400 degrees until the bottoms are golden in color (6-8 minutes)

Butterscotch Sauce:

1/4 cup (half stick) Unsalted Butter
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup of Heavy Cream
1/2 tsp of sea salt
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

Melt butter over medium heat
Add in cream, sugar & slat
Whisk until blended completely.
Lower heat and allow mixture to simmer
When constancy looks right, remove from heat & add vanilla extract.
Blend.

Pour over top of Bacon donuts and add more bacon bit pieces for extra taste!
