Snack Sized Burgers with a Gourmet Twist:
Turkey Bacon Burger Sliders
1 lb. Lean Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
12 oz. package Godshall’s Turkey Bacon
1/2 lb. Sliced Cheddar Cheese
1 tsp. Old Bay or similar seasoning
12 Slider sized buns
Fry til lightly browned and allow Turkey Bacon to cool down to touch.
Chop fine by hand or with pulse of food processor.
Combine 1 lb. of ground beef with chopped turkey bacon and knead into all mixed loaf about 2″ in diameter.
(if mixture does not seem to hold together well, add one egg)
Season with salt and pepper or Old Bay.
Cut or hand separate into 12 equal portions, form to patties.
Brown both sides in pan and melt cheese squares on top, place on buns and serve.
For some great variations try a 3 year old Gouda as your cheese or a mild Asiago.
