Total Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pack Godshall’s Beef Bacon
  • 1 lb pizza dough, thawed
  • 1.5 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced thin

Instructions

  1. Spread flour on the work surface, and roll out the pizza dough to a round or oval shape, about 1/4” thick. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled large baking sheet (using about 1 teaspoon of the olive oil).
  2. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  3. In a small bowl, stir the cream cheese until smooth. Add the flour, sour cream, and the remaining olive oil. Add salt and pepper, and stir until smooth.
  4. In a pan, cook the bacon for a few minutes over medium heat until the fat is rendered into the pan. Add the sliced onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until they are soft. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
  5. Spread the cheese mixture over the pizza dough, leaving about 1/4 to 1/2 inch uncovered at the edges. Top with the cooked bacon and onions.
  6. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cut into slices and serve right away.
