Beef Bacon Cheeseburger

Ingredients

  • 8oz ground beef, divided into 2, 4 ounce portions, balled up
  • 4 slices Godshall’s Beef Bacon
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons relish
  • 2 burger buns
  • To taste salt
  • 2 burger buns
  • For garnish lettuce, tomato slices, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat, add Godshall’s Beef Bacon and cook until browned, 1-2 minutes per side. Remove to paper towel lined plate.
2. To the pan, add vegetable oil, if needed, and beef, season each ball lightly with salt and cook for 30 seconds, flip and press each patty as flat as possible (or about ¼” thick) using a heavy metal spatula season with salt, cook for 1-2 minutes or until browned. Flip and season with salt and pepper. Top with a slice of cheese and cook until cheese is melted, and meat is cooked, about 1-2 minutes longer.
3. Add mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup to toasted buns, place a patty on each, top each with 2 slices of bacon and a tablespoon of relish, then lettuce and tomato.
