Ingredients
- 4 strips Godshall’s Beef Bacon
- 8 oz ground beef, divided into two 4-oz portions, balled up
- 2 slices American cheese
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons relish
- 2 burger buns
- Salt to taste
- For garnish, lettuce, tomato and red onion slices, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat, add Godshall’s Beef Bacon and cook until browned, 1-2 minutes per side. Remove to paper towel lined plate.
- To the pan, add vegetable oil, if needed, and the ground beef. Season each ball lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 30 seconds.
- Flip and press each patty as flat as possible (or about ¼” thick) using a heavy metal spatula. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes or until browned.
- Flip again and top with a slice of cheese. Cook until cheese is melted, and meat is cooked, about 1-2 minutes longer.
- Add mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup to toasted buns; place a patty on each and top each with 2 slices of bacon and a tablespoon of relish.
- Layer with lettuce, red onion, and tomato .
