Beef Bacon Cheeseburger

  • 4 strips Godshall’s Beef Bacon
  • 8 oz ground beef, divided into two 4-oz portions, balled up
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons relish
  • 2 burger buns
  • Salt to taste
  • For garnish, lettuce, tomato and red onion slices, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat, add Godshall’s Beef Bacon and cook until browned, 1-2 minutes per side. Remove to paper towel lined plate.
  2. To the pan, add vegetable oil, if needed, and the ground beef. Season each ball lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Flip and press each patty as flat as possible (or about ¼” thick) using a heavy metal spatula. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes or until browned.
  4. Flip again and top with a slice of cheese. Cook until cheese is melted, and meat is cooked, about 1-2 minutes longer.
  5. Add mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup to toasted buns; place a patty on each and top each with 2 slices of bacon and a tablespoon of relish.
  6. Layer with lettuce, red onion, and tomato .
  7. Bon Appétit!
