Ingredients
- Soft hoagie roll
- 6 slices Godshall’s All Natural Uncured Turkey Bacon
- Smoked provolone cheese
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Melt butter over medium high heat. Add mushrooms and salt and allow mushrooms to develop some color.
- Add garlic and onions to the pan and cook until onions have softened. Set aside.
- Cook Godshall’s All Natural Uncured Turkey Bacon to desired doneness in the same pan.
- Meanwhile, split hoagie rolls and warm in oven for 6 minutes.
- Remove bread from the oven, and slather with mayonnaise.
- Add mushrooms and onions, cooked Godshall’s All Natural Uncured Turkey, Bacon, and provolone.
- Optional steps: would be to wrap the sandwich in parchment, then in aluminum foil and return to the oven for an additional 8 minutes.
- This will thoroughly melt the cheese and help to steam the bread.
- After the cheese is melted you may add any additional ingredients you like such as avocado, tomato, or fresh herbs.
