Maple Turkey Bacon Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Godshall’s Maple Turkey Bacon
  • 2 lbs Sweet potatoes, cleaned and dried
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher salt plus extra for serving
  • 1 Teaspoon maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400°F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each sweet potato into sticks.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the sticks with the olive oil and 2 tsp of salt. Arrange the pieces onto a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then toss and bake again for 10 minutes, until browned on both sides.
  5. Bake the bacon for 12 minutes, until cooked and crisp. Chop into small pieces, about 1/2 inch, and toss with the baked sweet potato fries.
  6. Garnish with a sprinkle of salt and an optional drizzle of maple syrup. Serve while still warm.
